Experienced Project engineer to work on a wide variety of Signalling projects, based in the York office, the key objectives are to lead and direct the engineering elements in the progression of the works forming the Signalling and Telecoms Western territory Renewals programme. To ensure a safe and compliant solution is designed, installed, tested and commissioned.

The successful candidate will join an established multi-disciplinary team of engineers.

You will need to have proven engineering design experience. A broad understanding of other disciplines will also be beneficial. You may carry out the duties of Designated Project Engineer for specific projects and also advise the Project Managers in respect of all construction related activities including testing and commissioning. You will ensure that schemes are affordable and meet programme requirements for time, cost and quality. You will be a positive problem-solver and logical thinker. You must ensure the integrity of the projects and remain constantly aware of environmental constraints on the design, maintenance and construction of railway projects.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Signalling engineer and will have an engineering degree or equivalent experience within the railway environment. Ideally you will be or working towards being IRSE Licensed or hold Membership of a relevant professional institution.
