Our client is an Engineering Consultancy specialising in the environmental / water sectors. They currently have an opportunity for a SHEQual Advisor to join their existing teams in the Home Counties. The successful candidate will contribute to the business goals by providing SHEQual solutions and advice. Support staff by providing expertise to ensure that staff work in a safe environment and to ensure that corrective actions are taken in areas that can be improved.

Main duties will include:
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of Company Health and Safety policies and systems.
Provide SHEQual advice and consultations to staff at all levels.
Keep up to date with current SHEQual legislation and industry best practice and ensure that this information is disseminated to staff throughout the business.
Impede working activities which have been identified as having imminent danger to people or the environment.
Maintain an effective relationship with the local Health and Safety Executive, Environmental Agency Officers, Client Health and Safety Representatives within the business and other regulators.
Maintain and implement company SHEQual audit and inspection plans within the business, report on findings and implement corrective actions.
Investigate RIDDOR and first aid accidents, incidents and near misses, and liaise with the relevant SHEQual Managers with regards to notifying the relevant enforcing authorities.
Offer advice following Company supplier / subcontractor assessments.
Provide SHEQual Managers with relevant information in a timely manner and contribute to developing, improving and implementing SHEQual policies, procedures and processes.
Contribute to the SHEQual annual action plans with SHEQual Managers and develop and implement action plans and targets within the business.
Identify training needs and develop and deliver SHEQual training as required.
Provide input to Business Development activities and perform additional assignments as requested by the SHEQual Directors and Managers.
Complete all work in line with Core Values and in accordance with Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.

To be successful in this role you will need;
Degree qualified (preferred or equivalent)
NEBOSH qualified (ideally to diploma level)
Previous construction experience and experience of working on site and / or for a contractor
Up to date knowledge of recent SHEQual legislation
Keen interest in sustainability and conservation
Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills � both written and oral
Good client service focus.
Excellent organisational skills and able to multi-task
Current driving license and ability to travel locally around the North West
