Our client, a large rail organisation, is looking to recruit a Senior Control and Information Engineer to their offices in Central London. You will undertake a lead engineering role in the technical delivery of control and information projects within the projects portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop close links with clients and appropriate engineering personnel to ensure a sound understanding of client needs
2. Undertake lead engineering role to determine the nature, scope and methodology of work packages.
3. Specify system hardware and software requirements & produce high level conceptual designs
4. Evaluate and apply appropriate software systems and sub-systems solutions to operational and design-related problems.
5. Detailed checking and review of all profession related aspects of the work to ensure engineering solutions incorporate the appropriate design.

Required experience
1. HNC in an electronic/ electrical/ software engineering discipline with post qualification experience in rail
2. Knowledge of control systems and information systems.
3. Knowledge of Railway Signalling Principles
4. Capturing user requirements and developing specifications and estimates.
5. Demonstrable experience of Software Project Management
6. Production of Software test & validation
