To Manage the design office to optimise the workflow.To manage the delivery of engineering products produced within the programme, compliant with the requirements of the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) and company standards.

Detailed External Job Description:
Develop and manage the processes to review engineering outputs which support the programme schedule, budget and quality requirements.Identify and manage the budget and provide resourcing
information for development of the overall programme business plan.Develop HSQE objectives within the signalling office including appropriate verification, validation, staff development and competence management processes.Manage all engineering and project development activities, resulting in schemes that are affordable, and that meet Programme
requirements in a safe and environmentally responsible manner for time, cost and quality.

The successful applicant will have:
Chartered Engineer status with relevant successful experience of Programme Management within the Railway Industry or other complex electrical and mechanical industries/projects.University degree in electrical engineering.Membership of an appropriate Professional Institution.Relevant experience of railway signal engineering systems and equipment, and their implementation.It would also be an advantage to have experience of leading railway signal engineering design & development works.
